OSR SHINING PLAYBOY “Playboy” 2012 Buckskin Gelding • AQHA Registered • 15 Hands • Stout Built. If you’re searching for a gelding that combines standout looks, a big heart, and some of the most respected bloodlines in the performance horse world, Playboy is one you need to meet. He is the kind that catches your eye, earns your trust, and keeps it — a horse that’s as enjoyable to own as he is to ride. Bred for talent and longevity, Playboy is sired by OSR Sparks Oak Dunit, a son of the legendary Shining Spark, one of the most influential sires in performance horse history. On the bottom side, he traces to Freckles Playboy, Doc’s Hickory, and Doc Bar — cornerstone names known for producing athletic, trainable, and good-minded horses. These are classic bloodlines you simply don’t see very often anymore, and they continue to prove themselves generation after generation. Playboy is a more laid-back, easygoing gelding that is a pleasure in every setting. Out on the trail, he is a true cruiser — relaxed, confident, and happy to take in the scenery. He has a solid foundation of trail experience and handles a wide variety of terrain with ease. He willingly crosses water, travels through brush, and goes wherever you point him. Playboy has been used for ranch work and is comfortable stepping out to do a job or heading out for a quiet ride. He is great around traffic, wildlife, other ranch animals, and ranch equipment. Playboy has been exposed to obstacles and handles flags, tarps, and other ranch-style obstacles with a quiet mind. In the arena, Playboy has nice style and a smooth way of going. He walks, trots, and lopes easily, carries himself correctly, and offers a soft, comfortable lope. He is responsive, easy to guide, and always aims to please his rider. Playboy ties, clips, and is good for the farrier. He is a confidence-building kind of gelding — steady, sensible, and honest — and one that is safe day in and day out. Beginners can get along well with him, yet he is still quality enough for an experienced rider to appreciate. Built stout with good bone and substance, he feels solid underneath you and ready for anything. Playboy is a rare find — a good-minded, good-moving gelding with timeless bloodlines, a laid-back attitude, and a whole lot of try.
